This Farr 50 pilothouse was built in Sweden in 2000. The boat has a MARAD waiver and may be used for commercial sailing tours. She is outfitted with a bow thruster, winged fin keel, freestanding rudder, and reversed transom with molded swim platform. The vessel is outfitted with a lot of hydraulic and electric systems to make sailing and operating the boat easy. The boat has a large teak deck and open cockpit for entertaining. Below, there are lots of windows and port lights for ventilation and natural light as well as two recently rebuilt air conditioning units which cool the boat nicely. The owners have done a lot of work to the boat recently having replaced and rebuilt the onboard hydraulic systems. They replaced most of the freshwater and saltwater pumps onboard, replaced the cutlass bearing, bought new sails, and installed a new turbo on the engine.
Below, the boat has a large ensuite master stateroom set aft and a second large cabin located forward, both are outfitted with showers and private electric heads. There is a large U-shaped settee with dining table to starboard and outward facing nav desk to port in the salon. The galley is set down to port and forward there is a crew cabin with built-in single berths below and stacked pipe berth above. The teak and holly sole of the salon provides access to the engine room and other mechanical systems of the boat.
