This islander 30 MKII "shearwater" is a fantastic little boat. Originally bulit by Tradewind yachts, they were designed and compact racer cruisers. in the cockpit it's spacious and comfortable for a small group, and set up to be very easy to sail. Down below, there is a small living space with a galley, table, and a few berths.
Built in 1971, it comes from a time where sailboats were purposefully overbuilt and designed to be robust, which is why there are so many left.
This particular boat has been loved well, and raced hard by her current owner. He always kept her in working order with a recent bottom job, an ample suit of sails, and a recently rebuilt Universal M4-30 diesel that starts every time.
