The Islander Freeport Yacht is a classic sailing vessel designed and built by Robert Perry in the 1970s. The Islander Freeport came in a variety of layout options. Blue Planet was originally configured with two cabins, a large salon, and a spacious galley. The Islander Freeport also features large windows, providing plenty of natural light and excellent sailing visibility.

She has a raked bow with bow sprit, full keel with keel hung rudder, and traditional wine glass shaped transom with fixed windows along the top. On deck forward is a teak bowsprit walkway with stainless steel railings, genoa furling unit, and electric anchor windlass. The raised cabin trunk has fixed windows and opening ports forward and on each side and opening hatches on top. The cockpit has a pedestal-mounted teak and stainless steel wheel helm and full engine controls and instrumentation. There are sliding companionway hatches forward and aft. The decks are surrounded with short molded gunwales topped with a teak cap rail. Down below, starting forward, is a V-berth cabin, followed by hanging locker and drawers to port and enclosed head to starboard. Walking aft, the main salon is arranged with L-shaped galley with front-loading reefer/freezer, under-mount composite sink, and white quartz counters. Opposite the galley to starboard is a U-shaped dining settee with folding dining table that stows in the sole. Aft of the galley is a passageway that leads to the aft cabin. The passageway has cabinets outboard and access door and main electrical breaker panel inboard. The aft cabin is arranged with an island queen berth aft, head with stall shower forward, and large vanity with sink along the

port side.

Exterior repainted 2020, keel sanded to bare glass with fresh barrier coat and bottom paint. All bronze through-hulls, ball valves, couplers, barbs, and hoses replaced. Above waterline paint was sanded and replaced with new nonskid. Mast steps were rebuilt. New PSS dripless shaft seal installed to prop shaft. New SS standing rigging (2020).

Powered by 105hp Chrysler/Nissan SD-33/MD-33 diesel, well maintained, rebuilt (2020). Replaced exhaust system and muffler (2023). 55 gallons diesel fuel storage in 40 gal. transfer tank (2022) & 15 gal. day tank with electric transfer pump and Racor fuel/water separator in between (2022). Fuel lines replaced (2022), yearly filter replacement, seasonal oil changes. Balmar belt-driven alternator and external regulator for charging engine starter battery. Upgraded 50 amp shore power connection and 50’ shore power cord.

Replaced electrical DC and AC systems (2022) with Blue Sea Systems breaker panel, wiring, Relion 600Ah lithium iron phosphate deep-cycle battery house bank, Victron Multiplus II 12/3000/120 inverter, Victron DC-DC charger, 200 W Renogy solar panels, Victron solar MPPT 30 amp charger with bluetooth connectivity. Replaced AC wiring, outlets, and upgraded LED interior lighting throughout (2022). White/blue LED spreader lights.

BRNKL wireless security system, alarm, door/entry sensors, twin cameras (2021).

Interior gutted 2021, new subfloor and white oak flooring. Entirely new freshwater system, water filter and Shurflo pumps, 30 gallon freshwater tank. Kuuma AC electric 5 gal. water heater. 30 gal. holding tank.
