State of Hawaii Keehi Small Boat Harbor Rules- https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/dobor/rules/
Liveaboards are not permitted full time at Keehi Harbor, but the Harbor Master will allow up to 120 days of overnight stays throughout the year.
For permanent tenants, an active waitlist exists to obtain a berth or slip. For temporary tenants- smaller vessels may qualify for a slip or berth while larger vessels may need to take advantage of a mooring field that exists inside the reef to the West of the harbor. Mooring balls are available by prearranging with the Harbor Master. A list of documents you will need to provide is below.
There are public restrooms for men and women in the back of the Keehi Harbor Office open during business hours. After hours there are private restrooms and showers avaialble for harbor tenants accessible via key card.
Keehi Harbor has locked gates on each pier, but security is non-existent otherwise.
The length of the waitlist depends on the size of your vessel. Typically smaller slips 35' and under there are readily available. If your boat is larger than 40'-45' you will be asked to take a mooring ball.
