Kewalo Harbor is a private marina in the Kaka’ako District of Honolulu along Ala Moana Boulevard, between Ward Avenue and Ala Moana Park Drive. The Harbor offers slips for both recreational and commercial boats. Slips range in size from 30’ to 100’ and there is vehicle parking and restrooms for harbor members and visitors.
The Howard Hughes Corporation holds the lease on the Kewalo Harbor and subcontracts out the harbor managment to Almar. Howard Hughes has provided facility upgrades, including increased security and dock renovations, as well as extended marketing support to further encourage foot traffic to the harbor and interaction within the Ward Village community. The harbor creates a usable waterfront amenity, making it a sort of urban fishing village for the community. The harbor sits directly makai or oceanside of Ward Village, a new, integrated community that offers unique retail experiences and residences set among public open spaces and walkable streets.

Kewalo Harbor is open to commercial tenants. Commercial tour operators must pay the Basic Monthly Rate or 2% of Gross Receipts -whichever is greater.
Dock power and water service are avaialble to all harbor tenants. Most of the dock pedestals for vessels less than 60ft are 30 amp service while the larger slips for vessels 60ft and larger typically have 50 amp service.
Access to Kewalo Basin Harbor is not open to the public and available for tenants and guests. Guests and tourists must be accompanied by the tenant or captain of the vessel.
Signage larger than 2ft by 4ft is not permitted to promote tours.
Slips may not be bought or sold independently from the vessel or corporation that holds the lease on the slip.
Liveaboards are not permitted in Kewalo but in some cases overnight stays may be allowed.
There are no memberships available for the facilities at Kewalo Harbor. Kewalo operates as a recreational and commercial harbor that leases boat slips.

Recreational permits are renewed on an annual basis with the Harbor Office.
There are 2 sets of public men's and women's restrooms. One is near the East end of the Harbor adjacent to Ala Moana Beach Park and the other is located to the South at the Kewalo Basin Park which borders the Ocean. There are public showers in both Ala Moana Beach Park and Kewalo Basin Park.
The docks are gated and locked and there is 24 hours roaming security that patrols the docks and surrounding harbor area. Security cameras are located throughout the harbor.
Parking can be very limited in Kewalo Harbor. If you are a visitor a ride share service or taxi is recommended as transportation.
Hourly parking is $1.00/hour for Harbor Park users. This fee can be paid at the various parking terminals or via the app using the QR code available at the pay stations. There is no public parking in the gated parking lots after 10pm. All vehicles are towed or locked in the for night.
Diamond Parking offers a monthly parking permit to harbor slip holders for $100/ month and is subject to availability.
